Lara Plecas

In my work, I explore the connection between human emotion and our environment. We have a deep personal connection with the places where we visit and live, as well as, the experiences that may have endured there.

MonOrchid Exhibit

I am currently working on a new series of work for my first solo exhibition that will be at MonOrchid this September 2014.  The working title for the exhibit is "Old Stories" that will included a series of paper and encaustic based work that uses old currency and quilt inspired patterns to tell stories that have been passed down in my family throughout the years. Please email me at laraeplecas@yahoo.com to be added to my mailing list for the show.
