2 Day Encaustic Workshop

Intro to Encaustic - Saturday January 26th
On Saturday, the focus is on setting up your studio to work in Encaustic, ways to address safety concerns, how to use different substrates, the importance of fusing the encaustic layers, and then get right into the basic techniques.

Advanced Techniques – Sunday, January 27th
The Sunday class focuses on advanced techniques and new ways of working with the medium. This class specifically begins to explore adding materials into the wax, incising, and inlaying techniques. You will get a chance to work and complete several panels, and end with a gentle group critique.

Cost for the two day workshop for AAG Members is $130; for Non-members $140. An additional $25 is payable to the instructor on the day of the workshop to cover all the supplies.
Workshops meet from 9 AM to 4 PM in the AAG Building, just south of the intersection of 7th Ave. and West Union Hills in Phoenix, AZ.
